Job Title: Equipment Dispatcher

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Equipment Dispatch Manager, the Equipment Dispatcher is responsible for the efficient coordination, scheduling, and dispatch of equipment to meet the operational needs of Geneva Rock Products, Inc. This role is essential in ensuring timely delivery of equipment, maximizing utilization, and supporting the success of projects company wide.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Align with Company Vision and Core Values: Champion and uphold the company's vision and core values, setting an example for team
- Equipment Scheduling and Dispatch: Schedule and dispatch construction equipment to ensure timely and efficient deployment to job sites.
- Equipment Tracking: Track and update equipment movements and locations across various operating systems.
- Equipment Readiness Verification: Ensure equipment readiness by coordinating inspections, maintenance, and communication with the shop and field teams.
- Job Coordination: Coordinate with job sites to maximize equipment
- Staging Yard Management: support the organization of equipment within staging yards; lead efforts to improve yard layout, processes, and
- Small Tools Management: Track and manage small tools to ensure availability, accountability, and proper usage. Assist in standardizing tool types and specifications across the company to improve
- Driving Record Maintenance: Maintain a valid driver's license and ensure an insurable driving
- Safety and Environmental Compliance: Help ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory policies; foster a culture of safety and responsibility.

Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience:
- Three years of experience in the construction industry is preferred
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated understanding of heavy construction equipment, logistics, and fleet coordination
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with field and office teams
- Willingness and ability to learn equipment dispatching software and related systems
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and the ability to work well with others
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word,)

- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and move materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds regularly without Occasional lifting exceeding 50 pounds may be required, with team lifting or mechanical support.
- Mobility: Frequent movement is required throughout staging yards, job sites, and shop This includes walking on uneven or unpaved terrain, climbing on and off vehicles and equipment, and accessing confined or elevated work areas.
- Physical Engagement: Regular bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching are essential for inspecting equipment, handling tools, organizing yard materials, and performing load/unload
- Sitting Requirements: Periods of seated work are necessary for equipment operation, administrative tasks, and coordinating dispatch activities.
- Environmental Conditions: This position may involve exposure to adverse weather, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and airborne Exposure to loud noise and active construction zones is also common. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required where applicable.
- Communication: Effective verbal and written communication and active listening skills are essential to follow and relay instructions clearly, communicate with dispatchers, field personnel, and shop teams
