Job Title: Belly Dump Driver

Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the Belly Dump driver is to deliver products in a safe and efficient manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company's vision and core values.
Maintain and clean assigned truck and perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections. Report mechanical problems to the maintenance division.
Belly dump driver: dump asphalt and rock products accurately, access off road construction sites, and safely maneuver truck where needed.
Pick up check or cash on delivery (COD) orders and deliver them to dispatch with billing tickets.
Obtain tickets signed by the customer and leave the customer a copy.
Maintain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) and department of transportation (DOT) medical card.
Maintain an insurable driving record.
Obey all traffic laws and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Must hold a current Commercial Class A Driver License with double and triples endorsements and medical card.

Physical Demands/Safety:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
Sitting: 80% of time
Standing: 20% of time
Driving: 80% of time
Weight Lifted: Must frequently be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. May occasionally lift items above their head.
Physical Movement: May frequently be required to walk over uneven ground, balance, stoop/crouch, kneel, grab and hold objects. Required to climb a ladder on the truck several times a day.
Speaking / Listening: Needs to be able to communicate well with customers, dispatch, supervision, receive and follow instructions, and understand safety requirements.
Working Conditions: 90% of time will be spent working outside in the elements. Must be able to work long and irregular hours (early and late) during the busy season.
