Job Title: Laborer
Location: Point of the Mountain and surrounding areas
Division: Equipment & Facilities
Supervisor: Assistant Shop Supervisor
Position Summary: The Laborer plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. This position involves performing a variety of general labor tasks, supporting operational needs, and assisting with the basic maintenance of small equipment. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and organization across various facility areas, including but not limited to fuel islands, well houses, scale houses, and shops.
Ensure the truck wash rack is free of debris and operates efficiently.
Assist with the loading, unloading, and movement of materials/supplies using equipment such as forklifts or skid steers.
Provide general labor support to team members as needed.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Basic knowledge of heavy equipment and industrial plant functions preferred
Acute attention and commitment to safety
Must be able to follow directions and work well in a team environment
Must be willing to work long hours in extreme outdoor temperatures
Hours may vary
Maintain an insurance-qualified driver license
Physical Demands/Safety:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
Sitting: 20% of time
Standing: 80% of time
Driving: May be required to different locations.
Weight Lifted: Must frequently be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds. May occasionally lift items above their heads. For safe lifting, coworkers can assist with heavy objects.
Physical Movement: May frequently be required to climb ladders, walk over uneven ground, balance, stoop/crouch, kneel, grab and hold objects.
Speaking / Listening: Needs to be able to communicate well with customers, co-workers, supervision, receive and follow instructions, and understand safety requirements.
Working Conditions: Most of your time will be spent working outside in the elements.
Safety: Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Always ensure a safe and healthy work environment at all times.
