Job Summary: Schedule, coordinate and supervise craft employee activities. May involve supervising one or more projects. Working in particular construction disciplines (civil, utilities, and subcontractor management).

Duties and Responsibilities:
Visualize, fulfill, and implement the vision and core values.
Plan and supervise craft activities including: determining method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and documenting actual hours worked.
Coordinate assigned work with work of different crafts, company departments, or other contractors.
Maintain liaison with engineering and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.
Assist in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.) as required.
Assist Labor Relations Department in maintaining communications with unions, resolving jurisdictional disputes, etc., as necessary.
Monitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
Maintain liaison with other departments (i.e., Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control, Equipment) to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities and project schedule.
Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.
Maintain insurable driving record.
Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times.
Develop and train team (equipment operators and laborers).
Responsible for team start times by being on site with team.

Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of five years supervisory experience in similar facility construction technology, methods, equipment, tools and work procedures required.
Minimum of eight years construction experience in civil and utility work.

Qualifications:
Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and ability to control and supervise large groups.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to work towards and reach deadlines.
Clear understanding of survey process and comprehension of survey grade stakes.
Knowledge of the aspects of machine guidance equipment.
Ability to train and mentor all team members (operators, laborers, etc.)
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
Sitting: 40% of the time.
Standing: 60% of the time.
Weight Lifted: Must frequently be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. May occasionally lift items above their head.
Physical Movement: May frequently be required to walk over uneven ground, balance, stoop/crouch, kneel, grab and hold objects, may climb a ladder.
Speaking / Listening: Needs to be able to communicate well with customers, dispatch, supervision, receive and follow instructions, and understand safety requirements.
Working Conditions: 50% of time will be spent working outside in the elements. Must be able to work long and irregular hours (early and late) during the construction season.
